Back Pend Oreille County Fire Protection District No. 2 Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners on December 4, 2006 Meeting called to order by Chairman Rick Stone at 17:30 at the Administrative Office. Present were: Commissioners Layton, Norton and Stone, Fire Chief Pollock and Administrative Assistant Rumelhart. Wildland Engine Purchase – The district won the bid for a wildland engine from Spokane County Fire District #9 for $20,010.00. An anonymous donor gave $2,000 in cash to help with the purchase. Commissioner Norton moved that voucher FD06-129 for $20,010.00 to Spokane County Fire District #9 be approved for payment. Commissioner Layton seconded the motion. The motion passed 3-0. EMS Finding & Operations – Discussions were held on the funding of the EMS system and approaching Hospital District #2 for assistance. Station Construction – An update on the progress on Station 24 was given. The meeting was continued until 18:00 when it was reconvened as a joint meeting with Hospital District #2. Discussions were held on the funding and operations of the EMS system. The Hospital District was asked to assume operations of the EMS system and they declined.
